Jataka of Budgie-Sattva, Pt. 1 by elftantra Jataka of Budgie-Sattva, Pt. 1 by elftantra
Synesthetic narrative of one of the karmic lives of the Budgie-sattva. The Jātaka series denotes the process of purification rather than the state purity.

Thanks Denzel :)  I enjoy providing an image that allows for new details to emerge the more you stare at it, or in the case of being in the room, as you move in closer or further out from the painting.  Glad you like this one, it was an adventure to create!

You're welcome. =) You did, just that, and I enjoy doing that too, putting in little gifts for people who take the time to get closer than a glance.

Once again, something that really makes me think.
The process of purification...Living in the world that we do, could this process ever reach its conclusion?

Wonderful work, as always.

They say that all things within Samsara are finite, but Samsara itself is infinite.

Thanks for the response, and appraisal. The Jataka series and Budgie-Sattva series have been very enjoyable and challenging to produce.

Looks awesome. I'm just trying to figure out the texture. It looks like the brushstrokes don't actually follow the contours of the shape. What technique is this?

The painting was built on top of a heavy gesso texture. At certain points the painting comes into sync with this texture, and at others it goes in other directions. It is part of a meta structure to the narrative, or maybe it could be said part of a structural cosmology to the painting.
